brad•tas•tic | pronoun Brad Chin; adj. something "Brad Chin fantastic," beyond all things commonplace, more phenomenal than something called "incredible."
This domain name isn't new, though I've never been sure of what to do with it until now. BradChin.com served as my inkblog for several years — left alone, without much maintenance, care or consideration. After all, with limited time in high-demand and two other blogging projects, I never took the time to think about what I could do with a site here.
I've been sharing how the iPad has changed my life — made it easier — task-completion is breezy and I have a highly efficient, no-nonsense computer at my fingertips (literally)... and it's with me almost always, everywhere.
A fringe benefit of owning the device is that I now have more time to write and organize my creations. It's because of this, that I've realized my need for a third category, a third "place" for some of my writing.
As it makes sense to me, my posts would fall into three main categories: business, technical, and social/personal.
I have a "business" blog, and superfloo.us — my "personal blog." however, just because I've called that site personal doesn't mean it is. Much of what I post there is technical — uninteresting to my family, friends, and some followers. There are interesting little personal tidbits and musings that just don't fit there.
I like writing about cool websites and sharing random faects about technology — I don't want to just stop. Meanwhile, I can't expect my friends who aren't excited about tech toys and video games to follow Superfloo.us (as it is now) — reading pages of entries about hardware and software to find morsels of my artwork, insights, personal feelings and life updates.
So — as this blog slowly takes shape, Superfloo.us (not superfluous, I swear!) will evolve. "Sharing" is inherently a balancing act; I want to offer what I find fun and meaningful, but I also feel obligated to the interests of the audience.
I truly value time — finite and precious — and don't want anyone important to me to waste it... certainly not with a creation of mine.
